Shaving cream snow ball fight

Its been almost 100 everyday, so we had a shaving cream snow ball fight. Then a big thunderstorm blew in an cleaned it all up

Cow appreciation day

Chick Fil a gives away free meals if you dress like a cow. So we did breakfast lunch and dinner.

Introducing Haley Jane

These were taken by my awesome friend over at http://www.ashleyzufeltphotography.com/
She did an amazing job with photoshop.  Haley was quite jaundice and had been wearing a billiblanket.  So her body was white and her face and hands were really yellow.

Her quirky toe.  When she was first born it was all the way underneath the other three.  Its slowly moved up and looks almost normal now.

Emma's American Girl Doll bed.  Nate and Emma love to take Haley and play American Girl with her.

Fuzzoodle

Friday we got to host a fuzzoodle fiesta!

What is a fuzzoodle? Basically its a pipe cleaner on steroids. Then there are all these eyes and accessories you can use to make it a creature.  I've been trying to get picked to host a house party for quite a while, but had kinda given up applying, because I never got picked.  But I guess persistence pays off.

So how it works is they send you a bunch of free product, you invite 10 friends, have a party and then everyone reviews the product for the company at the end.  Fuzzoodle provided a $10 gift card to Toy R US that we raffled off to everyone that filled out the survey.  Plus everyone got to take home fuzzoodles - which are cool because you can use them over and over.

I had the fuzzodles all over the table when the kids came in.  They were all so excited, because, hey TV works and they all had seen the infomercials....except maybe mine, because we took the no cable plunge a couple months ago (but that is a whole nother post).

So here is the raw product, just waiting for imaginations to give it life...

Because you have to have a game, I made pin the eye on the fuzzoodle...in the end my creature kinda reminded me of the cockroach guy on Monsters vs. Aliens.
My beautiful table ready for the masses...and a little of my really cool fiesta streamers....which oddly enough I had to search high and low for.  I finally found them at the fourth store I went to.  It is San Antonio for crying out loud, we dedicate and entire week to fiesta and yet apparently we don't carry the decorations year round.

Traditional fiesta food - Chips, Queso, and Salsa.  Straight from the jar even.  My supermom powers were running a little low and making salsa from scratch just wasn't going to happen.  Throw in a veggie platter and you have a semi healthy after school snack.

Speaking of after school - I love our neighborhood.  After school we have our walking carpool and I love the mass of kids walking down our street.  Today we just turned them all into my house.  I think I counted 29 kids.

Very cool fuzzoodle bags...which I still need to deliver to some people, because I forgot to give them to them before they left.

So this is a fuzzoodle, in perhaps its simplest form.

Even the little guys loved them.  Here is my review on the age thing - the box says for ages 5-7.  In all honesty I think they need to extend the ages.  As far as choking there was like one part I felt was a danger, so if they take the little black nose out, then it would be fine.  The 5-7 year old boys seemed to be way more interested in playing football or bounce the ball on the roof then sitting and twisting fuzzoodles, but the 3-5 boys seemed much more entertained by them.  On the flip side I think it was the slightly older girls (10ish) that seemed to play with them the longest.  Ok, and lets be totally honest I think the moms played with them as much as the kids.

Luckily there was lots of pink and girlie accessories, because those were very popular.

So here was Nate's dog... he really loved that thing...maybe to much.

(Oh and bonus is that they were smart and they don't have any sharp wire ends in them)

Yup, pink was popular

I love the alien eyes and something about this one reminds me of sesame street...not the child, his creature.

Almost 3 year old T with her great creation.

Sometimes breathing imagination into a creature takes a lot of concentration.

Ok, so the purse was a little heavy, but when you're this stylish I guess you just need alot of stuff with you...maybe she has all her makeup in there or her hairbrush, because when you're whole body is hair you probably have to brush it a lot.

Some kids got into very complex creatures.

Yup, definately not just for 5-7 yr olds.

A  very satisfied fuzzoodler

Perfecting the complex eye wrap.  Each piece has a hook on it and you have to get it wrapped tight enough around the fuzzoodle...most worked fine, but these alien eyes were a little tricky.

I think dogs were one of the most popular animals.

Brooklyn won pin the eye on the fuzzoodle.  It was surprisingly a popular game with the kids.  I guess artistic ability doesn't affect the fun of the game.

It was a lot of fun for kids of all ages...now I just feel guilty that I haven't had any fun Friday's like this this year.  I need to get on the ball.

The kids had a blast playing in the backyard.

Ok, so no fuzzoodles in the picture, but is it not the cutest?

One happy camper!

So we had a blast, fuzzoodle hooked us up with like over $100 worth of product (awesome!), everyone got to take their creatures home and there was very little clean up (always a plus).

So I highly recommend these.  They would make great birthday or Christmas gifts and my kids loved them.  No mess to clean up at the end, reusable, reasonably priced and just fun.
